Implementation of First Call projects

The implementation of the projects selected for funding within the First Call for Proposal is approaching its final phase. Most of the projects are slowly closing, with final reporting tasks in IMIS system still ahead.

Meanwhile, larger projects with tourism infrastructure and (re)construction of bicycle paths that started with their activities in autumn 2017 still have a lot of work ahead, with expected end of implementation during the summer months.

Project beneficiaries have been guided and supported in implementation by the Joint Secretariat staff, always at their disposal either via telephone and emails or by providing personal consultation with the JS Programme Manager assigned to their project during the contracting phase.

In order to minimise the opportunity for any potential problems during the implementation of the projects, the JS staff has also been diligently performing monitoring visits alongside the border.

Following the efforts put into the Programme’s increased presence in the programme area, besides JS staff in the offices in Čakovec, Osijek and Pécs, colleagues from the JS main office in Budapest have also been frequently travelling to the region to check the project developments.

The main documents guiding the implementation have been published on the Programme website since May 2017, to provide support to the beneficiaries, with special emphasises on the regular update of project implementation FAQs.
