To mark this year's European Cooperation Daythe Interreg V-A Hungary-Croatia Cooperation Progamme has been co-organising the LADO, Croatian National Folk Ensemble's performance at the Palace of Arts (Müpa)  in Budapest.

The Programme has joined the 5th edition of European Cooperation Day campaign by supporting the Croatian Embassy in Budapest in the organisation of the performance "Across the Drava" of LADO Croatian National Folk Ensemble.

LADO, Croatia's National Folk Ensemble, was established in Zagreb in 1949 with the aim of exploring, interpreting in an artistic manner, and presenting on the stage the finest pieces from the country's musical and folk dance heritage. The ensemble enlisted the best known Croatian experts on folk culture and music, choreographers, composers and conductors, who find folk music to be a source of inspiration. LADO's repertoire consists of more than one hundred different choreographies, as well as several hundred vocal, instrumental and vocal-instrumental numbers, through which it is able to present a rich and diverse cross-section of Croatia's music and dance heritage.

LADO's performances around the world have generated universal acclaim from both audiences and critics, who consider it to be one of the finest folk dance and vocal ensembles around.
