“VEC Sharing” or “Cross-border Vocational Education Capacity Sharing” project is aiming to improve the role of educational institutions as intellectual centres for increasing the specific knowledge base in the region by implementing activities that improve students’ and teachers’ competencies in the occupations welder, cook, baker, confectioner and agriculture by providing joint exchange programmes between the border regions. Project activities include 2-week-long thematic exchanges of students who are studying one of the five occupations mentioned above based on a commonly developed strategy and methodology; supply of necessary equipment at each school; practical courses, workshops, factory and study visits, labour market mapping and analysis, joint exhibition of manufactured products, creation of joint bilingual cookbook, and joint sports events.
