The main activities of the project were establishment of the tourism route, knowledge transfer and dissemination, as well as the promotion of ecocultural handicraft production. Several information points were established in each county (Zala-, Koprivničko-križevačka-, and Međimurska counties), all linked to existing tourism, craft facilities or masters dealing with ecocultural products. Baskets introducing the ecocultural handicraft products of the region were placed at the infopoints. In order to implement the promotion of thematic route in professional circle, the partnership organized two study tours for masters (blacksmiths, potter, leather goods, basket weavers, chandlery, and wine producers), professional partners and press staff. The ecocultural handicraft knowledge transfer was implemented by workshops, trainings and a thematic camp organized for masters, disadvantaged groups, and youngsters. The thematic route and the handicraft production using natural raw materials can be disseminated efficiently by major events, so the partners organized 4 cultural events, where the ecocultural handicraft products were presented and promoted to the general public. By utilizing the common cultural and natural heritage as a new tourism product, the project had an impact on the economic recovery of the region.
